UAE E-Invoicing Phase 2: what SMEs must fix before the deadline
12 August 2026
A practical checklist for finance teams preparing their ERP for FTA Phase 2 compliance.
Phase 2 of the UAE e-invoicing mandate shifts the burden from reporting to real-time clearance. That changes what your ERP has to do.
Start with your master data. Most failed submissions we see trace back to incomplete TRN records, missing line-item tax codes, or supplier records that predate VAT entirely. Clean these before you touch integration work.
Next, map your document flow. Every credit note, proforma, and self-billed invoice needs a defined path. Finally, run a parallel period: submit through the new pipeline while keeping the old process alive, and reconcile daily until the variance is zero.
